Here’s what you can expect:
I’ll listen.
In this 90-minute meeting, we’ll talk about your needs and wants. We’ll go over important medical information, including:
- Lab reports
- Scan results
- Tumor markers
- Pathology reports
Then, I’ll create a plan to research your specific tumor type.
We’ll create a personalized treatment plan.
We will consider the latest cancer-fighting tools most likely to help you, which involve a level of testing and personalized treatment that is generally not a part of standard cancer care. This integrative medicine strategy often leads to safer, more effective treatment.
This might include:
- Genetic profiling of your tumor(s)
- Serum biomarkers to unlock the unique aspects of your tumor(s)
- Personalized vaccines
Next, we’ll build a Triad of Survival.
What is a Triad of Survival? It’s ongoing, updated set of three treatment strategies that are contingency plans.
You can view these plans as plans A, B and C. They may include:
- Conventional oncology therapies
- Integrative medicine modalities
- Immunotherapies
When your current plan fails, you immediately choose plan A, B or C, whichever fits, as your next option. We’ll always have a potential treatment plan waiting in the wings that can be shuffled around in response to new medical challenges.
I’ll advocate for you.
I’ll connect you to the best clinicians in the country with expertise concerning your tumor, such as oncologists, researchers, surgeons or Interventional radiologists.
If you need to get fast tracked into a cancer center, I can help arrange it. I have referred patients to the Cleveland Clinic, Sloan-Kettering in New York City, Cancer Treatment Centers of America, The Henry Ford Health System and The University of Michigan Cancer Center.
I work with laboratories all over the country that research tumors, and I’ll work to get discounts on this type of testing as well as hotel discounts for you as your receive care.
